Internships are available for the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters. Our station offers internships throughout the station in departments such as: News, Promotions, Production, Web content and Marketing Departments. The positions vary year-round and are based upon the needs of each department. In regard to the length (term), we work with the intern’s requirements, set by the internship advisor. Periodic evaluations of the intern will be completed as determined by the advisor.

Students should be at the college Junior or Senior level and must receive school credit for their internship. A negative drug screen is required prior to beginning an internship. We will consider “shadowing” students, but availability is limited during sweeps periods and at the discretion of the department head.

Juniors and seniors may apply by submitting a cover letter, resume, and reference letter from their internship advisor. The reference letter should include that the student is in good standing and will be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship, if accepted. All information may be sent to the email below.

We treat our internships like a regular job and the intern is expected to dress appropriately, be punctual and obey company policies. Absences should be kept to a minimum to assure meeting the credit requirement. Interns will be required to work a minimum of four hours a day and no more than 40 hours a week. Work schedules will be determined prior to the start of an internship.

Interested students should contact: Linda Gibby, Human Resources Manager. Telephone: 918-748-1442 E-Mail: gibby@kjrh.com  KJRH, Channel 2 is located at 3701 S. Peoria, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74105.  www.scripps.apply2jobs.com/index
