Job Summary:  Provide accurate, timely, and useful weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; coordinate annual/revised budgets; and update related systems on a timely basis. Must have thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP), methods, and practices. Prior experience with Sage 100 (formerly MAS 90/200) or BizInsight reporting is a plus.


Duties include:

Coordinate the annual budget process
Prepare periodic financial reports, including but not limited to:
weekly operating cash flow forecasts
various monthly expense reports
monthly and quarterly market revenue reports (Miller Kaplan Arase, ShareBuilders)
quarterly consolidating balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows for operating, investment, and parent companies
quarterly operating cash flow statements
quarterly bank compliance
adhoc reporting as needed
U.S. Department of Commerce census reporting
Participate in annual audits
Participate in strategic planning and development of long-term goals
Participate in changes to accounting software, supporting database(s), and reporting software
Research and implement accounting standards and guidance
Seek out improvements and efficiencies to internal controls and accounting processes
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Special projects as needed
Job Expectations:

Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Operating System (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Ability to learn new systems
Ability to work well with others
Maintain confidentiality
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Education/Experience: Accounting or Finance degree required. CPA or CPA track preferred.  Prior broadcast accounting experience preferred.  Three to five years of related experience required. Candidates should have a comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP). Related experience will be evaluated by Company management and may be substituted on the basis of two years’ experience equals one year of education.


Location/Schedule: Griffin’s Oklahoma City office. Full-Time, generally Monday thru Friday 8am–5pm.
