As a Griffin Investments Senior Accountant, you will perform primary accounting function for Griffin Investment’s upper tier company structure consisting of series of parent, investment and subsidiary companies. Areas of specialty include equity/debt securities, commercial real estate and oil and gas accounting.  Prepare monthly financial reports and develop and maintain financial models used in the daily management and oversight of the companies.  Assist with trust and tax documentation and reporting. Analyze investment performance and participate in developing investment strategy. Oversee interaction and integration with Griffin Communications media related operating companies and maintain good relationship with all Griffin finance department personnel.


Accounting degree required. CPA certification or candidacy a plus. Experience with high net worth families, commercial real estate, oil and gas accounting and income taxation also a plus. 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.


Must have thorough knowledge of accounting principles, methods and practices and be able to prepare and complete accurate financial statements; Computer skills that include a working knowledge of Microsoft Operating System (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.); internet applications and the ability to learn new systems; ability to work well with others; maintain confidentiality; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.


This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Must be flexible to schedule changes.
