Radio Producer at Griffin Radio helps drive the “Ideal Team Player” culture. As a Radio Producer, you will Produce the line-up and layout of assigned radio newscasts for Statewide Affiliates.


Essential Duties: Gather, write and distribute multiple newscasts per day. Check weather segments for quality and distribute to affiliates. Research news, monitor video news feeds, make needed phone calls to obtain information for radio newscast stories, organize stories, determine amount of time and treatment for each. Stay abreast of current local, national, and international events. Know history, geography and unique aspects of local area. Comprehend local, state, and national politics. Adhere to deadlines during production and distribution of newscasts. Working knowledge of radio automation software.  (Wide Orbit)


Formal education equivalent of BS degree in Journalism is preferred, Communications or related field. One year of progressively responsible experience in radio required. Aircheck and Writing Samples required. Knowledge of journalistic standards and ability to establish and work within program format. Accurate and comprehensive writing skills, as well as good communications skills.



This is a Part-time Position. Must be available to fill in with reasonable request time, especially on weekdays and holidays.
