Morning News Producer

KXII-TV News 12 is seeking a morning news producer for our Sherman newsroom to produce and edit our two hour local morning newscast every weekday. This is a full-time, behind-the-scenes position working directly under the news director and morning anchors. You’ll learn the ropes from an experienced, award-winning news team, and you’ll help put together the market’s top-rated newscast.  The right candidate will be a strong news writer and video editor, a competent problem-solver, a quick thinker, and a good communicator. Must work well under pressure and on deadline. Knowledge of electronic news gathering & non-linear editing required. Knowledge of digital news writing and social media preferred. Some newsroom experience is preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred.
