Mid-Continental Broadcasting is looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented person to oversee their AV Department, and assist in Traffic Department. As an AV Tech, the candidate will set up and run the sound and video equipment used to conduct live events such as sports, parades, and meetings. They will mix soundboards, play video recordings, enhance lighting, and coordinate graphics. Cool-headed, self-motivated individuals who think fast on their feet and enjoy technical support will thrive in this role. Candidates should have understanding of the following:

Cameras/microphones
Computers
External Sound Sources
Wi-Fi routers
Audio/Video cables (HDMI, XLR, AUX, Ethernet)
Creating graphics for use during broadcasts
Editing/Uploading video content to online platforms
Solving issues w/in office network connections

Must be able to work days, nights, and weekends as events take place during these times. When issues arise, the candidate must be able to troubleshoot and adjust the AV system as required, and use objective analysis to spot issues and eliminate them before an event, if possible. Employer prefers a minimum of one year’s experience working with audio/visual equipment.

This candidate will also assist in Traffic Department, inputting content into daily broadcast logs with promotional and institutional materials for three radio stations and serve as a quality control point on daily broadcast schedules, and will provide support and back up to the Traffic Manager. This includes, but is not limited to, inserting orders, as well as filing and storage of orders. The candidate will need to work well under pressure and with others, and have basic computer skills and understanding.
