Production Assistant at News on 6 helps drive the “Ideal Team Player” culture. As a Production Assistant, duties include operation of studio and field cameras and related equipment associated lighting equipment, and playback server; maintain and clean studio and prop areas. Serve as Stage Manager during broadcasts. Perform light duty carpentry and other studio maintenance responsibilities. Other duties as assigned, including assisting other departments.
Thorough working knowledge of TV production including cameras, lighting, microphones, and studio operations. Solid communication and organizational skills, strong computer skills, ability to perform well under pressure, handyman, and light carpentry skills a plus.
High School diploma and 1 year of training or experience in television production required. Broadcast audio experience preferred.
This is a Part-time position, Part-time, approximately twenty-eight hours per week. Primary Schedule: Saturday & Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Monday, Tuesday, and Friday evenings. Must be very flexible with schedule changes due to holidays, vacations, and sick leave etc. Must have or be able to obtain an Oklahoma Driver’s License.
