THE ROLE

Executive Producer at News On 6 helps drive the “Ideal Team Player” culture. As an Executive Producer, duties include: oversee daily newsroom operations in conjunction with news management, plan events and projects, supervise Producers, work with producers to develop and create graphic production elements for the newscasts, oversee the assignment of the field crews and Assignment Desk personnel on the AM shift, create graphic production elements for the newscasts, support strategic development and execution for the organization while working effectively with G-Com, Griffin subsidiaries and business partners.

Three years management experience in news or as a producer, link of work and writing samples required, knowledge of journalist standards, ability to establish and work within program format, accurate and comprehensive writing skills as well as good communication skills, ability to make quick and appropriate decisions and gain the cooperation of others, knowledge of personal computers and ability to learn news systems.

College degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent required. Equivalent experience as a newscast and/or special projects producer will be considered.  Related experience will be evaluated by Company management and may be substituted on the basis of two years of experience equals one year of education.

This is a Full-time position, 1:30am to 9:30am however, hours and schedule may vary depending on demands of news coverage.
