The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority will present scholarships to some of Oklahoma's most outstanding broadcast students in conjunction with the OBEA Student Day on November 18, 2026, at the OETA studios in Oklahoma City.

The scholarships will be awarded in honor and memory of William "Bill" Thrash and Gene Dillehay as a tribute to their outstanding service to OETA and the Oklahoma City broadcasting industry as television producers and veterans. Bill Thrash was OETA's longtime station manager and programmer extraordinaire, and Gene Dillehay was the "voice" of OETA for many years and voiceover announcer and music editor.
