Associate Producer at News 9 helps drive the “Ideal Team Player” culture. As an Associate Producer, you are responsible for writing and distributing news scripts, editing video for newscasts, designing basic graphics for newscasts, and operating the teleprompter as well as other related activities in order to produce the highest quality newscasts.

Other duties include assisting in creating and recording graphics for newscasts, video editing for news stories, searching video/script archives for file video and information. Producing line-up and layout of newscasts, downloading video from servers, and taking video feeds. Checking program logs and preparing breaks. Operating script printers and distributing scripts and rundowns for newscasts and breaking news. Responsible for coordination with other departments.

BS degree or equivalent in Journalism, Communications, or related field. Related experience will be evaluated by Company management and may be substituted on the basis of two years of experience equals one year of education. Newsroom internship experience preferred. Link of work and writing samples required.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work rotation shifts and 24-hour on call availability. Must be flexible to schedule changes.
