As of July 1, 2021, the High School Sports Broadcasting Fairness Act (SB 302) is law. This is good news for our sports broadcasters and Oklahoma sports fans.

The State Legislature has passed SB302 which allows visiting teams equal access to video stream high school sports.

This law levels the playing field for all school districts and eliminates out-of-state companies that have been enforcing exclusive media contracts that deny equal access.

It’s contest time again! Entry packets for the 2020 OAB Outstanding Achievement Awards were emailed to member stations on December 4.

The eight year license term is coming around again. By February 1, 2021, radio stations in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska will need to file their license renewal applications. With the public file online, a broadcaster’s activities will be subject to much more scrutiny than in the past.

For TV stations looking to stay on top of their KidVid reporting, the updated form to be used for the 2020 Children’s Television Programming Report is now available and can be accessed through the FCC’s Licensing and Management System (LMS).
