Job Summary: We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented team player to join our fully automated broadcast production team in Oklahoma City.
Job Responsibilities:
- Directing and assistant directing of live and recorded news, weather, sports and breaking television news programs using Sony ELC Live Production Control Automation System.
- Monitors and adjusts audio sources through ELC using a Calrec headless audio board to ensure audio quality during broadcasts.
- Oversees and works with robotic studio cameras (Ross Cambots).
- Candidate should be a problem solver and quick thinker who adapts and resolves existing issues and works around problems that arise during live news events.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and be flexible and responsive when unforeseen problems and interruptions occur.
- The Director will work with the Content producers to create and execute the content, structure, and pace of the newscast
- Responsible for ETC Studio lighting control using EOS/Element Software
- Knowledge of waveform monitors and Vectorscopes required for camera shading for live and prerecorded content.
- Assists with training of production staff and actively supports station and departmental strategies, procedures and policies

Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Media, Production or related field preferred
1+ year of experience directing live broadcasts and other productions - Experience with Sony ELC preferred but will consider Ross OverDrive and Grass Valley Ignite experience
- Experience with Ross Robotic Cameras with Smartshell preferred.
- Experience with newsroom computer systems; iNews experience preferred
- Ability to multitask in a live broadcast environment, work well under pressure, good problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, overnights and holidays
- Proven ability to function well in a team environment
- Must have or be able to obtain an Oklahoma Driver’s license
- Capable of handling the physical and mental requirements including:
- ability to verbally communicate in English
- ability to read computer monitor information (words and data)
- ability to hear detailed spoken word
- ability to remain sedentary and to travel to work location
- ability to perform manual dexterity tasks with hands, fingers
- ability to analyze data, concentrate, reason, and write
- ability to perform under emotional stress
- ability to stand for an extended period of time, potentially 3 hours or more
- ability to lift 20 pounds unaided
