OAB Past Chairman and Hall of Fame member Thomas Goodgame passed away at his home on May 10, 2022. Tom was 92.
“Excellence in Broadcasting” describes the television career of Tom Goodgame. He strongly believed that service to the community was a primary responsibility of all broadcasters, and his influence raised the market and industry standards for all Oklahoma broadcasters.

As a General Manager, his stations were recognized as market and national leaders. During his ten-year tenure at KTUL-TV, Tulsa, the station was one of the top rated stations in the network and the network. He served as President of the Westinghouse Broadcasting Television Group from 1986 until his retirement in 1992. He was also a Past Chairman of the NAB Television Board.

“His family remembers the man who loaded up six kids in the Country Squire station wagon and hauled them across the country for vacations. His sense of adventure took him to many wonderful places, and his quick wit and spontaneous humor were always at hand. He modeled a great work ethic and encouraged his children to think for themselves…much to his regret.” OAB members who were fortunate to know Tom will remember his wry wit, his booming laugh, and his constant smile.
